A minor triad contains a root, a minor 3rd, and a perfect 5th. Only the 3rd changes when you move from major to minor.

Minor Triad Formula

Root + m3 + P5. Count 3 semitones from the root for the minor 3rd and 7 semitones for the perfect 5th.
